IV. Success!!!

It was a portentous day from the start.  First my father in law who’s staying with us over Christmas found 20 quid on the way back from his early morning excursion to the paper shop, then we had our first snow fall for December.  And I’d also noticed that the half maltezer I’d left just inside the trap as a ‘tempt you inner’ was missing.

Sure enough the next time I checked, there was Noel looking slightly panicked and pissed off, guarding his peanut butter coated cheese stoically, until we acquainted him with his new abode in the cleaned out old fish tank.  He’s all covered up now and there’s plenty of cardboard tubes in there for him to hide while we gradually get him used to his new status in life.  If he survives we’ll probably keep him until it warms up then decide whether he’s taken to his new life of domestication or whether to take him to the oft trod country paths of his ratty cousins.

He’s a pretty big old fella.  Obviously the diet of large breed puppy food, peanuts, PVC and metal shavings has agreed well with him.

Thanks for following this festive happy yet oh so sad tale.  Hopefully now the effects of the silly season will soon dissipate and I can get back to thoughts of foundries, robots and rotary axis.
